Account & Login

Download Giving Toolbox from the App Store and tap Get Started. Enter your organization name, EIN, and fiscal year end. Your account is created in under 3 minutes — no credit card required.

On the login screen, tap Forgot Password and enter your email address. A reset link arrives within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.

Yes. Sign in with your email and password on any iPhone or iPad. Your data syncs automatically.

Go to Settings → Staff & Join Codes → Create Join Code. Share the code with your staff member. They enter it on their device to join your organization.

Billing & Subscription

Yes. Core expense tracking, grant management, and basic operations are free forever. No credit card required. No trial that expires.

All 7 fundraising modules (Events, Auction, Crowdfunding, P2P, Paddle Raise, Raffle, and TeeFast Golf access), unlimited staff, unlimited contacts, AI features, CSV export, and priority support — $34.99/month or $279.99/year.

Go to Settings → Subscription → Upgrade to Premium. Payment is processed through the App Store.

TeeFast Golf is a separate add-on — $99.99 per tournament or $149.99/year unlimited. It works on both Free and Premium tiers.

Payments & Stripe

Go to Settings → Payments → Connect Stripe. Follow Stripe's onboarding. Once connected, you can accept card payments in-person and through your public donation page.

Yes — Giving Toolbox charges a platform fee on donations collected through the app. Free tier organizations pay 1.5%. Premium subscribers pay 0.5%. Stripe's standard processing fee (2.9% + 30¢) applies on top of the platform fee. You can optionally pass Stripe's fee to donors at checkout.

Yes. Record cash and check payments in the app alongside card payments. Full payment history is maintained for your records.

Expense Tracking

Tap Scan Receipt on the home screen and point your camera at a receipt. AI extracts the amount, vendor, date, and category automatically. Review and submit — the whole process takes under 10 seconds.

The app maps expenses to the standard IRS 990 functional expense categories: Program, Management & General, and Fundraising. You can tag any expense to a specific grant or program as well.

Staff submit an expense and mark it as a reimbursement request. Admins review, approve, and mark it paid. The staff member can check the status of any pending request from their device.

Yes. Go to Reports → Expense Export and choose PDF or CSV. The export includes a 990 functional summary page formatted for your bookkeeper.

Grant Management

Unlimited on Premium. One active grant on the free tier.

Yes. When submitting or editing an expense, tap Link to Grant and select the grant. The grant's running balance updates automatically.

A banner appears on your dashboard 30 days before a reporting deadline. Tap the grant to mark the interim or final report as submitted.
